David Suria

I’m David Suria, a musician and music educator with over 20 years of experience teaching, performing, and working with musicians of different ages and backgrounds.

My musical work spans a wide range of styles, including classical music, jazz, rock, folk, and metal. I play electric and double bass, guitar, and ukulele, and I have performed in orchestral, folk, rock, and chamber music settings.

I hold a postgraduate qualification in music and pedagogy, and throughout my career I have developed a strong interest in how people learn music. My teaching combines practical musical experience with insights from learning science, helping students understand not only what to practise, but also how to practise and learn more effectively.

Alongside instrumental teaching and performing, I lead body percussion and rhythm workshops for groups, educational settings, and corporate events.
