About me

I've been teaching piano and flute for almost 30 years. Whether you're a complete beginner, preparing for exams, or returning to music after a break, I aim to make lessons enjoyable, supportive and tailored to the way you learn best. I believe every student is different, and with the right encouragement and approach, everyone can make great progress.

I have an excellent success rate preparing students for ABRSM examinations from Grades 1–8, and I'm equally happy teaching those who simply want to play for enjoyment without taking exams. My lessons focus not only on developing a secure technique but also on musical expression, helping students become confident and expressive musicians.

For flautists looking to study at a more advanced level, I can also provide coaching towards diploma-level performance.

I was classically trained in both piano and flute from the age of nine. After college, I spent a year studying flute performance at the Naples Conservatoire in Italy, an experience that broadened both my musical knowledge and my love of performance.

Although my training is classical, I enjoy teaching and exploring all styles of music, from classical and blues to jazz and contemporary music. Whatever your goals, I strive to create a relaxed, friendly and enthusiastic learning environment where students feel supported, challenged and inspired to enjoy making music.

Availability

I teach from the UK (GMT / BST) and offer lessons Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 6–8pm, Wednesday from 10am–8pm, and Sunday from 10am–3pm. Other times may be possible on request.
