Mattie Mount

Hi, here’s a little get to know me!

I hold a bachelor's degree in Musical Theatre from Coker University, where I also engaged in concentrated study in vocal performance, working with Dr. Jerron Jorgensen, now Director of Choral Studies at Southern Oregon University (SOU), and Dr. Christi McLain, currently on the SOU voice faculty. While at Coker -- on scholarships with both the Theatre and Music departments -- I appeared in the South Carolina premiere of contemporary opera The Ghosts of Gatsby, as well as portrayed Percy in The Spitfire Grill and Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, among a number of other Coker musicals and plays.

My recent Columbia credits include Sister Margaretta in The Sound of Music, Martha in The Secret Garden, Spongebob Squarepants in The Spongebob Musical, and all with the Broadway Bound Vista Theatre Project (BBVTP).

I have been teaching voice at Broadway Bound Musical Theater Company for two years teaching children and adults. My expertise lies in singing for the theater, however, I also am able to work on techniques for a variety of styles.
