Pierre Luc Lalonde

Pierre Luc is a music professional, drummer, producer, and educator known for his professionalism, attention to detail, and strong work ethic. He offers lessons in French, English, and Brazilian Portuguese. Currently based in Gatineau, Québec, Pierre Luc maintains an active teaching practice and performs across diverse styles, including duos, jazz trios, cover bands, rock acts, and corporate bands.

Professional Experience: Carnival Cruise Line (2015–2019): Performed nightly across multiple genres worldwide. Promoted to Music Manager, overseeing onboard music programs and directing musicians.

Session Work & Performance: Worked as a session musician in Brazil and performed with artists across major venues in London, UK.

Education & Training: MMus in Popular Music Performance (With Distinction) – ICMP, London (2014–2015): Focused on odd time signatures, advanced ensemble leading techniques, funk performance, and the impact of music technology on live performance.

Humber College (2010): Guided by educator Chuck Burrows, he studied under top Canadian drummers Bob McLaren, Paul DeLong, Mark Kelso, and Larnell Lewis. Also studied music production and aesthetics with renowned engineer Ian Terry.
